Media Skills Acquisition for young people
Are you 16 – 25 years old, based in Croydon or surrounding areas, have an interest in video and film production, studying in London or currently not in education, employment or training and you have a career interest in the media industry?
Our Digital Media Training: Video & Film Production Course is a free, short, intensive digital media training programme for young people in Croydon and the surrounding areas with a career interest in film and video production to help them develop their employability prospect in the media industry.
When?
The next 3-week summer video & film production bootcamp will run in summer 2023.

Full Hands-On Training...
The programme will offer young people training in video and film production skills, as well as employability skills to help them prepare and develop their employability prospect in the media industry.
​
The video and film production masterclasses cover a wide range of topics including the principles of video and film production, camera operation, sound as well as lighting for video and film, and will also include a session with career and motivational personnels as speakers to give young people further insights into the media industry. The courses are facilitated by industry experts, working on feature films, TV and commercials such as cinematographers, directors, editors, writers, animators, producers and actors.

Young people will gain practical skills of each area and will get the chance to apply their newly acquired skills through pitching their ideas and creating content, and getting feedback from our industry experts.
As part of the programme, young people will also benefit from employability skills training, including CV development, writing cover letters, job search and interview techniques.
