STEP IN STEM PROJECT
Employability programme supporting young people into the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) industry, giving them experiences that widens their network, access to work environments, wealth of knowledge and advice that they may never have had the opportunity to acquire.
Step In Stem is our employability programme for young people to create a pathway that inspires and educates young people, as well as creating opportunities for them to follow a career in the STEM fields. The programme will guide and direct, by introducing young people to STEM fields, and providing access, which they otherwise would not have had into the STEM industry.

Beneficiaries of the Step in Stem programme will benefit from a wealth of knowledge and experiences that will be achieved through opportunities such as mentorships, shadowing of industry professionals, work experiences, trainings, and workshop events throughout the programme. These events will comprise of career days, social hangouts and networking events put together by Youth PWR; as well as other corporate events organised by our corporate partners.​

To strengthen our means of implementation, we work in partnership with companies within the STEM industry who serve as corporate partners for the Step in Stem project. Our corporate partners are reputable companies with deep values for social impact and change, and are highly committed to contributing towards a better future for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds; and beyond their sponsorships, they support the project further by way of offering mentorships, 1-2-1 sessions, apprenticeships, trainings, exposure, work experiences and job opportunities for our young people.

We are continuously seeking to partner with more companies in the various STEM fields in order to increase the opportunities available to young people with the aim of supporting them into employment.
